Project Description

The team is responsible for services that process viewership and user data, conduct contextual analysis, and enhance audience profiles. These insights enable precise targeting and data-driven decision-making. The architecture includes microservices, processing pipelines, and a web application, integrating Spark, Kafka, AWS, and Airflow.

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end development, from design to production;
Implement and optimize high-scale Big Data solutions;
Mentor and guide junior developers through complex projects;
Contribute to platform infrastructure and architecture;
Research core technologies and integrate with external APIs and services;
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver business-driven solutions;
Participate in off-hours Pager Duty (additional compensation provided based on schedule);

Job Requirements

5+ years of experience in Big Data engineering;
Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Ruby, Java, Python, Scala, Clojure – with readiness to switch between languages;
Desire to learn new programming languages including Clojure;
Strong experience in Pipelines, ETLs, Streaming Systems (Spark, Kafka, EMR, EC2, Airflow);
Experience working with SQL & NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MySQL, ElasticSearch);
Proven ability to handle performance optimization and high-scale systems;
Team player and strong communication skills;
English proficiency from B1+ for effective communication with global teams;
