As a Data Architect, you are a data architect that loves solving business problems. You have experience of working in Data Engineering for 7+ years. You work with customer business stakeholders, Data Engineers, DevOps Architects, and Data Scientists to understand the business domain and lead engineers to build data products that empower better decision-making. You are passionate about the data quality of our business metrics and the flexibility of your solution that scales to respond to broader business questions.

What you will do?
  • Design data architecture for high volume, velocity, and variety of data sets.
  • Define the technology stack for the project for real-time, batch processing, data warehouse, and end-user querying.
  • Explore new technologies in data engineering and learn new techniques to solve technical problems.
  • Collaborate with many teams - engineering and business, to build better data products and services 
  • Write efficient code in modern Data Engineering technologies
  • Real-time: Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis
  • ETL Tools: AWS Glue, PySpark, Presto, Amazon EMR
  • End-user query / Analysis Services: Presto, Hive, Apache Kylin
  • Data warehouse: Amazon Redshift, SnowFlake, ClickHouse

  • What we are looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ Years in Hadoop based distributed computing (PySpark, Presto)
  • 2+ Years in at least one ETL tool (Informatica, Talend, Matillion)
  • 4 + Years in at least one Programming language (Python, Java, Scala)
  • 3 + Years in at least one Data warehouse (Amazon Redshift, SnowFlake) 
  • 2 + Years in Real-time processing engines (Storm, Spark Streaming, Flink)
  • 3+ Years in Writing SQL queries
  • Hands-on experience in data modeling, data visualization, and pipeline design and development
  • Experience in working independently and driving projects end to end, strong analytical skills. 

  • You will be preferred if you have
  • Prior experience in working on AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Understanding on DataOps Engineering 
  • AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty 
  • Cloudera or Hortonworks Certified Big Data Engineer

    The Path to Joining the Mactores Team
    At Mactores, our recruitment process is structured around three distinct stages:

    Pre-Employment Assessment: 
    You will be invited to participate in a series of pre-employment evaluations to assess your technical proficiency and suitability for the role.

    Managerial Interview: The hiring manager will engage with you in multiple discussions, lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, to assess your technical skills, hands-on experience, leadership potential, and communication abilities.

    HR Discussion: During this 30-minute session, you'll have the opportunity to discuss the offer and next steps with a member of the HR team.
