We are searching for a visionary enterprise seller who can contribute to developing our team's structure and strategy as we enter these dynamic markets. Your ability to strengthen internal partnerships and harness them to transform the businesses of large merchants will be essential. You will adopt a broad perspective on growth and development, with the insight to drive sustainable, healthy growth in an evolving landscape.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Develop and refine a sales playbook tailored to educate CXOs in Southern Europe about Shopify’s unique value proposition, facilitating large, complex evaluations alongside Solution Engineers, Partners, Sales Enablement, Legal, Product, and Finance teams.
  • Design and implement multi-product pipeline generation strategies in collaboration with local sales, marketing, partnerships, and event teams to effectively engage the Southern European market.
  • Engage with enterprise businesses across Italy, Spain, and Portugal to enhance their strategies around commerce, store operations, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Provide proactive and precise forecasting to set clear short-term and long-term priorities with actionable plans specific to the needs of the Southern European markets.
  • Build influential relationships with C-level executives in large companies throughout the region, understanding their unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Attract, mentor, and develop a high-performing team that fosters a culture of experimentation, development, and consistent performance tailored to local market dynamics.
  • Support and drive Shopify’s global expansion efforts, with a specific focus on establishing a solid presence in Southern Europe.
  • Lead by example, sharing your expertise and experiences to inspire and guide the team toward success in these new markets.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in creating and scaling sales strategies and playbooks with an emphasis on entering new markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate multi-product pipelines and navigate complex sales evaluations successfully.
  • Experience working with Fortune 1000 enterprise retailers or businesses, particularly in commerce, store operations, and POS, within a European context.
  • Strong forecasting skills with a track record of setting and accomplishing ambitious goals.
  • A successful history of influencing C-level executives in large corporations.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, particularly in emerging markets.
  • A passion for supporting and realizing global business aspirations, especially in the context of growth-focused regions.


Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Italian and ideally also Spanish is strongly preferred, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and partners in these languages.


Bonus:

  • True enterprise commerce selling experience, particularly in D2C and B2B scenarios, as well as in commerce and retail point-of-sale systems, will be advantageous!
