What you will do
You will be responsible for supplier scheduling and monitoring delivery for purchased parts and interaction with suppliers in your area, monitoring that appropriate inventory levels are maintained, and tracking supplier performance.
 

How you will do it

  • Establish and maintain replenishment signals to assure a smooth flow of materials.

  • Coordinate with Suppliers to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate accurate and adequate availability parts to meet customer demands.

  • Manage consignment programs for materials and blanket purchasing agreements for commodity items.

  • Monitor, track and report on supplier compliance to delivery due dates, identify risks to late delivery, handle escalations with suppliers according to JCI procedure.

  • Maintain effective working relationships and communication with all departments.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Production Planning in new product introductions and planned product discontinuations in order to minimize obsolescence and maximize customer delivery expectations.

  • Collaborate with Procurement PBU Buyers to ensure Pricing is maintained accurately in SAP.

  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure resolution of invoice discrepancies.

What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study preferred, Associate’s degree and relevant experience or at least 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and email

  • Knowledge of distribution processes

  • Knowledge of inventory management software and best practices

Preferred:

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP, Min/Max

  • Two (2) to four (4) years materials of accounting experience in purchasing or logistics

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and perform in a high-paced environment
