About The Role
Engineering Systems Manager - Global
Reporting to the Vice President - Global Engineering Systems you will provide coordination and direction to the design and engineering teams globally in relation to the usage, development and implementation of various engineering systems, technologies and initiatives. You will also promote collaboration between the global regions and focus on consistency in our engineering approach to enhance efficiency and excellence in the delivery of engineering.
This role can be based out of any of our DRA Global offices.
Key duties
Coordinate, support and advise in the development and enhancement of best practices in engineering systems, standards and tools, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks and evolving technological landscapes.
Coordinate the digitalisation of engineering systems, processes and workflows between regions for efficient workshare and increased productivity on a global basis.
Identify and mitigate risks and challenges through proactive problem solving and innovative solutions.
Influence, coach and collaborate with subject matter experts and industry leaders to stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the organization's practices.
Assist with presenting DRA Engineering Systems functions and methodologies to clients.
You will have
Tertiary or Certificate in Technology, Design or related field, and/or equivalent business experience
Extensive experience in engineering software and documentation management
Thorough understanding and knowledge of general engineering design systems
Thorough understanding of database interactions
Experience and knowledge in federated models and design discipline integration
Understanding of a Common Data Environment (CDE) usage, implementation and management
Leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate a team
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate with and balance all stakeholder requirements in a complex global environment
