Job description

About Us

Neuroqueer is a modern, low-pressure, and personalised NDIS service provider that focuses on being LGBTQIASP+ and neurodiversity affirming.

Our mission is to empower neurodivergent and LGBTQIASP+ people to live as themselves, build independence, and access the world without barriers. We provide affirming, peer-driven support where people can truly be themselves, free from the need to mask or advocate for their needs on their own.

We strongly encourage applications from people within the neurodivergent and LGBTQIASP+ communities who have experience as a Support Coordinator or Psychosocial Recovery Coach.

About The Role

  • This position is entirely remote and can be done from anywhere in Australia. If you'd like a little in-person work, there's the possibility to do that depending on client needs. We welcome applications from people with Support Coordination or Psychosocial Recovery Coaching experience from across Australia.
  • This will initially be a part-time role with 15 hours per week. We're growing fast, so when the time comes for us to offer you more hours you'll have the option move to take them and eventually move to full-time or stick with part-time.
  • When it comes to the days and times that you work, this position is incredibly flexible so we're open to all possibilities.

As An NDIS Support Coordinator, You Will

  • Support NDIS participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans.
  • Connect participants with services and providers to meet their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide guidance to navigate the NDIS and access supports effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, their families, and service providers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation to meet NDIS reporting requirements.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have solid experience as an NDIS Support Coordinator and/or Psychosocial Recovery Coach
  • Understand the ins and outs of the NDIS—rules, funding categories, and service systems
  • Have excellent case management skills, from initial intake through to plan review
  • Know how to advocate effectively and build genuine, trusting relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Bring a neuro-affirming and LGBTQIASP+ inclusive lens to your work (lived experience is a big plus)
  • Can manage your own schedule, work autonomously, and stay organised in a remote team
  • Are values-led and passionate about empowering people to live authentically and independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III/IV in Disability, Counselling, Community Services, or Individual Support
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or similar
  • Relevant checks (NDIS Worker Screening and National Police Check—or willingness to get them)

What We Offer

  • Above award salary.
  • Super flexible remote work arrangements to suit your needs.
  • Flexible rostering.
  • A supportive and affirming workplace where accommodations are encouraged and respected.
  • Training and opportunities for professional growth.
  • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of neurodivergent and LGBTQIASP+ communities.

We're committed to creating a safe and inclusive workplace and strongly encourage applications from people with diverse lived experiences, including neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ folks, First Nations people, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
