About The Role

Acknowledge Education is seeking passionate Online Facilitators to join our Early Childhood Education faculty. Working remotely, you will engage preservice teachers through pre-prepared provocations in weekly forums, bringing theory to life with your practical experience. Your role will help ensure online students are as prepared, reflective, and resourceful as their on-campus peers.

This independent contractor position offers flexibility around your schedule and suits organised, creative educators who champion children's rights and learning through play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stimulate student participation in unit forums through reflective questions, comments, and provocations
  • Respond to and redirect student queries
  • Facilitate online workshops for preservice teachers
  • Mark assessments with constructive, student-centred feedback within set deadlines
  • Attend unit inductions to align with faculty standards
  • Prepare for online workshops by reviewing content and developing supplementary resources as needed

About You

  • Hold a post graduate qualification (ideally is enrolled in or has completed a master’s or PhD)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an ECT
  • Genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring the next generation of Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs)
  • Strong team spirit, with an optimistic approach to supporting students and colleagues
  • Qualified as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)
  • Strong knowledge of theory, best practices, policy, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current and active ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Committed to building up preservice teachers with fresh, intriguing ideas that spark reflection and creativity
