Local Edge is seeking an E&O Programs Specialist to join our growing team!
The E&O Programs Specialist manages new and renewal underwriting, supports team operations, and works closely with agents on specialized coverage questions.
How You Will Contribute
Understands carrier guidelines including systems processes related to underwriter duties.
Maintains meticulous, organized, and complete underwriting files. Assesses risks within established authority.
Issues quotes and binders documenting insurance coverages.
Follows underwriting guidelines and sends things outside of authority to the carrier underwriting manager for direction/approval
Partners with leader on work distribution, monitoring team capacity, and addresses complex or critical issues.
Perform quality assurance reviews within the department to ensure acceptable decision making, documentation and process following.
Acts as a subject matter expert, helps train new teammates and supports knowledge-sharing across roles.
Assists with the creation, documentation and updating of department standard operating procedures
Assists with retail agent inquiries on coverage, changes, or cancellations within established service level standards and exhibits underwriting expertise.
Collaborates with IT on user acceptance testing during system updates or application rollouts.
Reviews renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate and determines underwriting actions.
Review and approve New Business submissions from sales associates.
Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.
Licenses And Certifications
P&C License or Surplus Lines License. (preferred)
CPCU, CIC, or other industry designation or coursework towards those designations (preferred)
Skills & Experience To Be Successful
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. (preferred)
2-5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience; E&O or professional liability preferred.
Strong understanding of policy language, coverage forms, and underwriting principles.
Self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a remote environment.
Comfortable on the phone and with written communication.
Basic Excel and Word skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes.
Pay Range
$65,000 - $70,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
