Job description

Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.

Project Coordinator, Awards and Recognition Programs 

  

In this role you will serve as a pivotal team member within the NSTC Workforce Center of Excellence (WCoE), supporting projects aimed at advancing workforce development in the semiconductor industry. 

Every day you will coordinate complex project elements, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the successful execution of awards and recognition programs that strengthen America's semiconductor ecosystem. 

To thrive in this role, you must combine exceptional project management skills with strong stakeholder collaboration abilities, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and documentation. 

Natcast, operating the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC), stands at the forefront of America's semiconductor ecosystem. This unique public-private partnership unites industry leaders, academic researchers, and government stakeholders in advancing U.S. semiconductor capabilities through collaborative innovation. 

As part of the Amplifier team, this position plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and completion of projects that recognize and advance semiconductor workforce development initiatives. 

Responsibilities: 

• Support project planning and monitoring, including creation of detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules 

• Ensure project completion on time, within scope, and within budget 

• Proactively identify project risks and issues for timely mitigation 

• Lead database administration for Amplifier award and recognition programs 

• Manage inboxes, documentation, reporting, and meeting logistics 

• Maintain project organization and clear communication across teams 

• Serve as vital link between project teams and other departments 

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry leaders, educational institutions, and workforce organizations 

• Support preparation and presentation of project reports to senior management 

• Perform general research and documentation of best practices in semiconductor education and training ecosystem 

  

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Relevant postsecondary certification, degree or 3+ years of administrative experience 

• Proven experience in project management 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders 

• Proficiency in project management software and tools 

• Experience in coordinating multiple priorities 

• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities 

• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills 

  

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

• PMP or similar project management certification 

• Experience in grants management 

• Background in workforce development 

• Knowledge of semiconductor industry 

• Experience with recognition programs 

• Database administration expertise 

• Event coordination experience
