Anthology’s International Sales team is responsible for new client acquisition in international territories. They meet and often exceed sales objectives of the assigned territory by promoting and selling the Anthology suite of products and services through a consultative selling approach that effectively aligns the products to customer business objectives while demonstrating a quantifiable value proposition to the customer.  

 

 

As Account Executive, you will be responsible for sales generation, retention, and growth within the Middle Eastern region. You will report to the Regional Vice President for the Middle East and be responsible for meeting corporate sales, revenue, operational, and strategic goals and spending most of your time working with customers and partners.

 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

 

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of higher education clients across the Middle East, ensuring satisfaction and long-term success.
  • Driving customer adoption, engagement, and retention by understanding their needs and aligning Anthology’s solutions to their goals.
  • Developing and executing strategic account plans to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Leading business development initiatives, including prospecting new opportunities and expanding Anthology’s presence in the region.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (sales, product, implementation, and support) to ensure seamless service delivery and customer success.
  • Conducting product demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops for customers to showcase value and drive adoption.
  • Monitoring customer performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve usage and satisfaction.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, helping customers optimize their use of Anthology’s solutions to enhance institutional outcomes.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regional market developments to inform strategy and decision-making.

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer success, account management, or sales role within the education technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of higher education institutions and IT solutions, particularly Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships, drive retention, and achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer challenges.
  • Experience working in the Middle East region, with an understanding of cultural and business dynamics.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Willingness to travel across the region as needed.
