Reporting into the Product Manager of Provider Data Management, Symphony, the Associate Product Manager of Provider Data Management will perform a variety of functions in support of the Product Management team for Availity’s Symphony product, primarily by contributing to the development and management of Symphony’s product roadmap in collaboration with Availity’s partner, Integrated Healthcare Association. The role will maintain the necessary rigor and cadence for effective product management to ensure scope, schedule, cost, and risks are effectively managed in efforts for Symphony. Working knowledge of the product development lifecycle and software development lifecycle is required as the associate product manager will be expected to guide product features through the discovery and requirements definition process and coordinate with software development scrum teams and manage project schedules within a release/deployment environment.

Role Summary
As an Availity Associate Product Manager, you will lead a team of analysts, developers, and designers through the product development and software development lifecycles, from ideation through launch, and beyond, to discover, deliver, and optimize new capabilities on the analytics roadmap.
Partnering with the PDM Product Manager, you will help inform a comprehensive product strategy, identifying market opportunities, defining an overall product or feature vision.
Partnering with design and technology, you are accountable for product design, feature definition, prioritization, and planning.
Part of the Product Management team, you are the person ultimately responsible for successful delivery of the product. You will work with Availity stakeholders that include other product leaders, partners, vendors, and a broad network of customers to design a solution that meets market needs.
This role will ensure delivery of roadmaps, lead planning activities, and remove roadblocks for the delivery teams.
This position will influence and collaborate cross-functionally to execute on your product vision and roadmap
This position requires an understanding of the Product Management lifecycle and its relevant artifacts to ensure teams are collaborative and documenting for success. You must possess the ability to understand market opportunity and viability of product design and articulate ROI as an internal and external product champion and its strongest evangelist.
To be qualified for this position you (have):
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Management, including experience from ideation and discovery through launch. Healthcare background is highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, health informatics, data science, or relevant discipline.
Experience executing roadmaps as well as leading a team to meet deliverables.
Experience managing customer expectations.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working across multiple levels, functions, and regions.
Worked in and are comfortable operating in a matrix organization, coordinating across multiple disciplines.
Possess technical acumen the ability to gather and describe product requirements and get feedback from technical staff.
General understanding of modern technology architectures, database technology, virtualization, and the impact of government initiatives and HIPAA privacy and security regulations on system design.
Thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle using tools like Jira.
Expertise in MS Suite of tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive.
Excellent organizational skills and keen sense for detail and accuracy.

Enabling the product roadmap and product strategy by delivering a commercially viable product, solution or component and ensuring all factors of a go-to-market strategy are enacted.
Partnering with the PDM Product Manager to define and prioritization of problems, requirements, solutions, and features, which includes working with internal stakeholders, health plans and providers to understand their workflows and define the problem to be solved, which may be internally focused.
Partnering with the PDM Product Manager to collaborate with the Product Organization and Account teams to understand the market opportunity and viability of product design.
Engaging with UX/Design and focus groups (users, prospects, clients) to perform concept testing and solution refinement.
Informing and influencing product vision, roadmaps and supporting business case for data- and analytics-driven solutions.
Informing the definition of operational, performance, and value reporting metrics to ensure product success.
Gathering, analyzing, and responding to user feedback.
Working cross-functionally in a matrix driven environment.
Collaborating with technical teams including Data Engineers, Architects and Developers, and Analysts on solution design and roadmap execution.
Ensuring products are well documented and conform to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Evangelizing product, company point of view and differentiation to internal and external stakeholders.
Accountable for the delivery of the product / solution in the market.
