Job description

Job Duties	Design, build, and evolve an automation framework to operate our IT service infrastructure, with focus on maintaining and growing infrastructure through server provisioning, configuration management, availability monitoring and cyclical maintenance. Duties: analyze business requirements, design and implement automation solutions; develop and maintain system automation documentation and version control; create, define, maintain and update server installation/configuration standards – OS, hardware, software, and version levels; lead continuous quality improvement process with operations and deployment teams; deploy, maintain and evolve software and system monitoring services; design and deploy a continuous integration and deployment environment; involvement in leadership and mentoring of others on current and future toolsets and technologies.
Minimum Requirements	Certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate). Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, with research involving the implementation of a demand-based automatic scaling service on AWS. In lieu of master’s degree, employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 2 years experience as a DevOps engineer, including IaC deployment, management, and operations on the AWS platform utilizing Github, CircleCI, and Terraform; developing configuration management with Ansible and AWX and/or AWS based automation tools; deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS; server operating systems including Windows (2016, 2019 and beyond) and Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 and beyond); and programming or scripting in PowerShell, CURL, UNIX shell, Python, Ruby, Bash and JSON Experience in software deployment procedures and version control.
Work conditions	Full time, 40 hours per week
Rate of Pay	$100,000-105,000 per year
