Information Security Analyst Sr Advisor

HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST SR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
  • Coordinates security program activities with internal and external parties, including interfacing with vendors, auditors, subcontractors, and the client.
  • Maintains critical security documents such as Systems Security and Privacy Plan, Information Security Risk Assessment, Contingency Plan, and Incident Response Plan.
  • Utilizes security tools to monitor the Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) requirements of hardware asset management, software asset management, vulnerability management, and compliance management.
  • Works closely with the IT team and application developers to integrate Zero Trust principals into the system.
  • Conducts investigations of systems security violations and incidents through review and analyses of relevant event detail, including alerts from the Security Operation Center and system alerts.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field - or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of IT security experience, including:
  • Experience in vulnerability management, configuration management, incident response, contingency planning, security documentation, and security controls assessments.
  • Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, digital signatures, and security architectures including firewall concepts, proxies, load balancers, VPN, and IDS.
  • Working knowledge of zero trust principles
  • Discretion, integrity, and strong communication skills

STRONGLY PREFERRED:

  • Experience working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), especially Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP), strongly preferred.
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, GIAC or equivalent certification, preferred

CLEARANCE: Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years.

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
