WHAT YOU’LL DO:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of Artificial Intelligence (AI) related projects across the organization. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, meeting facilitation, tracking, and reporting, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
In this role, you will be:
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, owners, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives, requirements, and success criteria, ensuring alignment at every phase.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams in the execution of assignments, providing clear direction and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and obstacles, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure project success.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
- Project Execution: Oversee and participate in the day-to-day operations of projects, tracking and documenting project progress, and ensuring that tasks are completed on time and according to quality standards.
- Team Communication: Facilitate regular meetings (including agenda creation and scheduling), manage & track action items, and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reports.
- Materials Development: Develop presentations, project plans, budgets, and recommendation documents that will inform strategic decision making.
- Quality Control: Ensure deliverables meet the required quality standards and client expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting takeaways and next steps, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for process improvement.
- Professional Learning: Acquire new skills to support your work, including AI-related skills that support AI project management.
- Tool Utilization: Use project management tools (e.g., SmartSuite and Jira) to track project progress, assign tasks, and manage timelines.
- Reporting: Provide project updates as needed for status reports, business reviews, quarterly reviews, board meetings, etc. in the form of data, slides, written updates, or presentations to key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- One (1) or more years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role.
- Proven experience managing projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams, facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders, and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience leading AI-related projects a significant plus
- Project Management Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., SmartSuite, Jira, Trello).
- Expertise in budgeting, project planning, strategic communications (including presentation development), and resource planning.
- Strong ability to develop and propose solutions proactively, even in the face of uncertainty or incomplete information.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence decision-making, and motivate team members.
- Experience managing stakeholders and building relationships at all organizational levels.
- Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt approach based on team needs.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues, find creative solutions, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop high-quality presentation materials.
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant certifications.
- Industry Experience: Experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Strategy Consulting, and/or Software development
- Tools/Software: Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft tools (including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Copilot), and use of third-party generative AI software.
- Experience with remote teams: Experience working in distributed or remote teams effectively.
