Position Overview:
The Sr. DevOps Developer in Directory Services at RTX will collaborate with a team to support fast-paced, critical systems supporting LDAP, Unity Sync, Code Review, Kubernetes, Ansible and VDS infrastructure systems. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various directory services. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex Directory Services issues as well as code updates across the identity systems.

Must be able to work within the team to utilizing agile methodologies for code review, updates, and team two-week sprint deliverables.

What You Will Do:
  • Working as a team member in a fast paced technological environment. 
  • Provide Tier 3 (Advanced Support). Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Working with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced Digital processes and procedures as well other tasks as assigned.
  • Design and implement automation through CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
  • Implement infrastructure as code, with CI/CD and pipelines in mind, to integrate with SDLC and DM operations
  • Develop custom automated solutions using Python, Golang, or Bash, YUM, Java and some potential Perl coding
  • Build, tag, and manage Docker container images for consistent deployment across integrated environments: Harbor Registry, Kubernetes, and Gitlab.
  • Optimize containerized application performance and troubleshoot container-related issues using Docker CLI and related tools.
  • Develop, Maintain and execute reusable Ansible playbooks and roles to automate system configuration, application deployment, and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Provide UnitySync Tier 2 and 3 support
  • Manage and improve large-scale, distributed LDAP identity systems, including attribute schema management, access control instructions (ACIs), integration with identity systems and automation frameworks to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant identity services.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality features in iterative development cycles.
  • Maintain clear documentation on runbooks, system architecture and best practices
  • Provide Tier 3 (Advanced Support) Linux systems administration support
  • Experience in supporting LDAP, Radiant Logic VDS, Kubernetes and Unity Sync.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • 5 years proven experience in providing enhancements within a dynamic environment where agile methodology is applied at scale
  • 5 years experience with reading/understanding Python, Golang, Bash and some potential Perl coding.
  • Location- REMOTE: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with the following: Windows OS, VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, ESX virtual computing methods, Kubernetes Clustering, Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experienced in Leadership and mentoring of individuals and teams.
  • Basic Windows experience desired beyond the Desktop.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
