What You'll do:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Senior/Lead Solutions Engineer with excellent communication skills to join our growing Partner Solutions team. This pivotal role serves as a critical technical bridge between our front-line Partner Success (PS) team and our core Engineering teams. You will be responsible for tackling complex technical challenges faced by our partners, designing creative solutions using our APIs and SDKs, and acting as a key technical resource for both internal teams and external partners, interfacing directly with their technical teams at times.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about solving technical problems, working directly with partners, and contributing to the growth of a dedicated solutions engineering function. The ideal candidate will initially focus on hands-on technical solutions and partner interaction, with a clear path to potentially lead and mentor future team members as we expand. You will report to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Investigation & Resolution: Act as the primary technical escalation point for the Partner Success team, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex partner issues related to API usage, SDK implementation, product integration, and general web application behavior.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Develop and propose effective technical solutions, workarounds, code samples, and best practices to address partner needs, leveraging deep knowledge of our product APIs, SDKs, and underlying web technologies.
  • Partner Collaboration: Engage directly with partners' technical teams via calls, emails, and potentially shared channels to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and goals, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Internal Liaison: Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to communicate partner feedback, report bugs, understand product roadmaps, and advocate for partner needs. Work with Partner Success to ensure they understand technical resolutions and can communicate effectively with partners.
  • Knowledge Base & Documentation: Own internal and external knowledge bases, technical documentation, guides, and potentially developer tutorials to empower both partners and internal teams.
  • Technical Enablement: Conduct training and other sessions with the Partner Success team on technical aspects of our products and common integration patterns.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline technical support processes, improve tooling, and enhance the overall partner technical experience.
  • Team Growth (Future): As the team grows, potentially mentor junior team members and contribute to defining the team's strategy and best practices, with the opportunity to step into a formal leadership role.

  • Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a technical, partner- or customer-facing role (e.g. Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Tier 3+ Support).
  • Quick to learn new APIs, SDKs, and platforms; strong understanding of core web tech (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, JSON/XML, DNS, etc.).
  • Proficient in at least one language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go); familiar with ecommerce apps, data APIs, and technologies like Postgres.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills across varied systems.
  • Excellent communicator—able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working directly with external stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Experience mentoring others and contributing technical documentation or developer content.
  • Self-driven, organised, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Our Benefits:
    Great compensation package and equity
Remote friendly work environment with employees throughout the US and Canada
Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, Unlimited PTO, and home office stipend
