Position Summary
Responsible for administration of benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability. Ensures benefit administration complies with applicable laws and policies. Serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, while appropriately escalating complex cases. Processes state disability forms, LOAs, NMSO’s, QMCSOs. Completes monthly vendor payments.
JOB SUMMARY Location - this role is 100% remote, anywhere in the US Salary Range - $28-30/hr
Duties and Responsibilities
First point of contact for employee inquiries
Assist with the processing of all Leave of Absences
Process benefit-related changes in HRIS system pertaining to new hires, rehires, life events, terminations, and open enrollment
Complete National Medical Support Notices (NMSN), Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSO) and other legally requested documents
Assist with the administration of time off plans
Complete monthly vendor invoice reconciliation and payment
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Benefit Administration including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, STD and LTD
Working knowledge of and processing of leaves of absence
Working knowledge of laws, compliance and related reporting including COBRA, FMLA, ACA and HIPPA
Written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to set priorities and work to deadlines
Experience Required:
MUST be fluent in Spanish
1 - 2 years prior benefit or HR administration experience
Experience process LOA's
Workday experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combo of education and experience; CEBS certification preferred
