The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Environmental Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring our company follow and adhere to environmental laws and regulations. Environmental Compliance Specialist perform several tasks such as reading reports, analyzing arial photographs, identifying and examining potential violations, and documenting findings. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify areas of non compliance and environmental risks
  • Stay updated with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and industry standards
  • Develop and implement plans for responding to environmental incidents and emergencies
  • Provide environmental compliance training to employees and contractors to ensure understanding of regulations and best practices
  • Monitor changes in environmental laws and assess their impact on the company’s procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of environmental compliance activities 

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or related field
  • Proven experience as an Environmental Compliance Specialist or in a similar environmental compliance role
  • In depth knowledge of environmental knowledge of environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems and software
