Role And Responsibilities
Spartan Contracting is a fast paced commercial builder seeking to add an Accounting Coordinator to our team. The primary responsibilities involve AR/AP for a broad range of construction projects. The Accounting Coordinator works closely with project team members, managers and team leads to help deliver projects efficiently. This support position will also manage administrative tasks such as document and information distribution, reports and communication support. An Accounting Coordinator candidate should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and experience meeting hard deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or candidates with 1-2 years prior Construction Accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
Send out project billing instructions to subcontractors.
Establish relationships with Owner / Client accounting contact including knowing all billing deadlines,formats, releases, etc.
Setup billing Schedule of Values in CE Accounting Software
Process all monthly subcontractor pay applications
Process all monthly Owner Pay applications
Enter all monthly accounts payable invoices.
Setup / build new project shell upon award in CE
Notary services
Banking, Check Delivery, Post Office and shipping services.
Credit Card cost coding and allocations
Participation in training, performance goal setting and company events.
Other project as assigned
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Associate in Accounting or Equivalent Work Experience
2-3 years AP/AR experience
Construction Accounting experience preferred but not required.
Experience working with ComputerEase and other construction accounting software.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and Adobe.
Team player, problem solving and strong communication skills.
Desire to learn and grow.
Valid Drivers License.
