POSITION SUMMARY:

Environmental Solutions is looking for a Salesforce developer to join our team and contribute by improving processes, develop custom automation and integrations, and improve our existing codebase and testing strategies. You will participate in discussions with key stakeholders and the Salesforce team to define requirements and design and build processes that streamline user activities and provide actionable intelligence to both internal and external users.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Custom Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Salesforce Configuration: Configure Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and process automations to meet business needs.
  • Integration: Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs or middleware, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders and team members to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Quality and Best Practices: Maintain coding standards, perform code reviews, and follow best practices for testing and deployment.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve issues, providing ongoing support and enhancements for Salesforce users.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation and offer guidance to end-users or junior developers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, proactively proposing improvements.
  • Minimal travel possibly to Chattanooga, TN twice per year.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is appreciated but not required, but some experience is required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL).
  • Some experience with Salesforce Communities/Experience Cloud is preferred.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Salesforce Platform Developer I or similar; other Salesforce certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, etc.).
    • Understanding of Salesforce integration patterns (REST, SOAP APIs).
    • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality solutions.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems.  Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives.  Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or creates opportunities that will increase productivity and create value.  Shares best practices with other employees across the business.

Accountability:  Accepts responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects, programs, and duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns, problems, and progress of work in a timely manner.
