Aidoc is currently recruiting for an AI Algorithms Team Lead position in Tel Aviv. This role is within Aidoc’s core AI group, specializing in developing cutting-edge AI solutions in healthcare to enhance medical imaging and diagnostics.

About Aidoc

Aidoc is a global leader in clinical AI, helping physicians quickly identify and diagnose urgent cases to improve patient outcomes. Our platform analyzes and aggregates medical data, enabling care teams to work seamlessly with a continued focus on the patient.

Our solutions are used in over 1,000 hospitals worldwide, including leading U.S. health systems. Aidoc has raised over $250M from top-tier VCs and was named one of TIME’s 50 most genius companies.

As an Aidocee, you’ll join a fast-paced, mission-driven culture where people care deeply about impact, collaboration, and product excellence. You’ll work on real, mission-critical medical architecture with a high level of independence and influence. We believe in building strong teams by supporting both professional growth and personal well-being—ensuring everyone feels appreciated, empowered, and part of something meaningful.

About this role

This is a leadership role in Aidoc’s core AI group, which develops cutting-edge AI solutions that transform medical imaging and diagnostics. As a Team Lead in the AI Algorithm Engineering group, you’ll be leading a team of top-tier algorithm engineers—supporting their growth as professionals and as people, and helping build a strong, trusting, high-performing team.

You’ll help shape and execute the team’s roadmap, ensuring strong alignment with product and business goals. You’ll also collaborate closely with product managers, clinical experts, and engineering stakeholders. While your primary focus is on people and execution, you’ll stay hands-on, contributing directly when needed to solve complex challenges and lead by example.

This role is ideal for someone who leads through empathy, clarity, and technical depth—and who thrives on building both products and people with care, ownership, and impact, while making a meaningful difference in real-world healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of top-notch algorithm engineers in designing, developing, and delivering accurate, reliable AI algorithms - with active, hands-on involvement as part of the role.
  • Build and nurture a culture of technical excellence, trust, ownership, and collaboration—turning culture into a force-multiplier and helping attract and retain top talent.
  • Support your team’s professional and personal growth, creating an environment where people feel safe, empowered, and deeply motivated to do their best work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners—data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and clinical experts—to ensure AI is thoughtfully integrated across initiatives.
  • Help shape and execute the team’s roadmap in alignment with product and business goals.
  • Guide team members through complex algorithmic and engineering challenges—providing both technical insight and strategic clarity.
  • Stay up to date with AI/ML trends and help your team adopt relevant techniques.
  • Take full accountability for the quality, delivery, and impact of your team’s work—while continuously improving both effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and implementing AI/DL algorithms, preferably with exposure to medical imaging or healthcare domains.
  • 3+ years of experience leading algorithm teams, including mentoring, delivery ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and supporting the personal and professional growth of team members.
  • Proven track record of delivering AI projects to production, demonstrating real-world impact and commercial value.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support and unblock others when needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and common AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Experience in computer vision and/or NLP is a strong advantage.
  • Strong team player with a growth mindset, high ownership, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
