Job description

Strata is recruiting for a Market Manager role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and expanding Strata’s market postition, specifically in the Northeastern US. The role will be responsible for executing strategic sales initiatives, fostering channel partnerships, and providing market intelligence to help shape Strata’s commercial strategies and initiatives. This is a field-based role (remote) with regular travel requirements throughout the Northeast territory.

Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve sales and margin targets within assigned territory through direct sales efforts and distributor/channel management.
  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with key accounts including contractors, engineers, distributors, and end users.
  • Execute sales strategies aligned with Strata’s broader business objectives, including new product introductions and strategic market expansion.
  • Provide technical product support and consultation to customers, including project specification assistance and onsite presentations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitive products, market trends, and customer needs to inform sales strategy and product development feedback.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Product Management, Marketing, Operations) to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain an active project pipeline through consistent prospecting, customer visits, and relationship-building activities.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities, customer contacts, project tracking, and reporting requirements.
  • Represent Strata at industry trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars to promote the brand and cultivate leads.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and territory updates to the General Manager

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years in geosynthetic product sales, or related field
  • Construction product sales, project management experience, and engineering certifications a plus
  • Highly organized and structured
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including presenting to small and large audiences
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to convey complex observations and concepts to customers
  • Proficient in MS Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Professional personal presentation and ability to interact with all levels of the GR organization as well as our customer and trade partner base
