This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in EHR systems, interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD, etc.), and healthcare data exchange. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, clinical operations, compliance, and client success—to deliver seamless and high-value integrations.
Product Leadership: Develop and own the product strategy and roadmap for EHR integrations, aligning with company goals and customer needs.
Customer-Centric Solutions: Engage directly with healthcare providers, partners, and stakeholders to understand integration needs and deliver intuitive, scalable solutions.
Interoperability & Compliance: Ensure all integration solutions adhere to industry interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD, X12) and comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ONC, CMS).
Partnerships & Ecosystem: Cultivate relationships with EHR vendors (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, etc.) and third-party technology partners to expand integration capabilities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, implementation, and support teams to deliver high-quality integrations on time and within scope.
Innovation & Scalability: Drive the development of reusable integration frameworks and APIs to scale across diverse healthcare organizations and EHR systems.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and proactively address technical, regulatory, or operational challenges.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Performance Tracking: Define and track KPIs to measure the success and impact of EHR integration initiatives.
Experience: 10+ years of product management experience in healthcare technology, with 5+ years focused on EHR integrations.
Domain Knowledge: Expertise in healthcare interoperability standards and frameworks (FHIR, HL7, CCD, X12) and deep understanding of the EHR ecosystem.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading high-performing product teams and delivering successful integration solutions in complex healthcare environments.
Technical Fluency: Comfortable working with APIs, middleware, data mapping, and integration platforms; able to translate technical concepts into business value.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute product strategies that align with business objectives and address market needs.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled at engaging and influencing cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy and security standards (HIPAA, HITECH, ONC guidelines).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
