The Associate Project Manager (APM) will assist with the day-to-day activities of the Development Project Management Team and will serve in a supporting role to the Project Managers as they move solar projects through the development life cycle. Our solar project development lifecycles move quickly so the Associate Project Manager must be flexible, detail oriented, and organized. 

What You’ll Do 
  • Support the Project Develpment team through all aspects of utility-scale solar and storage development.
  • File regulatory and utility-related documents and applications.
  • Prepare presentation materials and reports for Project Managers.
  • Supports effective third-party communication with landowners, vendors, and others.
  • Regularly update project information using CRM software.
  • Research new markets for requirements related to interconnection requests, PUC filings/registrations, and utility reporting.
  • Submit and track invoices and payment obligations.
  • Update project budgets and prepare budget-to-actual figures.
  • Review contracts and track deadlines for deliverables, reporting, and payments.
  • Set up data rooms, obtain signatures for project documents, and ensure proper storage of executed documents.
  • Manage processes related to change of control of acquired or sold projects.
Must-Haves 
  • 2 or more years’ experience in project development, preferably in a utility-scale environment preferred.
  • Strong desire to work in the renewable energy industry.
  • Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.  
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.  
  • Proactively take on new opportunities and tough challenges
  • Adaptable approach and demeanor in real-time to match the shifting demands of different situations.  
  • Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.    
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.  
  • Adaptive listening and comprehension skills.  
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to relay project statuses and collaborate with the team  
Education and Certifications  
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, urban planning) preferred.
  • A professional degree in project management, project development, or business preferred. 
Working Environment and Physical Demand 
  • Some travel will be required up to 30%.
