THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Sr Director of Total Rewards & HR Operations will be responsible for all aspects of Certinia’s Total Rewards, HRIS, and Global HR Operations functions. Beyond ensuring best-in-class service, this role will be pivotal in evolving the employee experience, setting our global Total Rewards strategy, and leading our ongoing system transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will seek to understand existing and historical practices, challenge the status quo, and think strategically in designing and implementing scalable global Total Rewards & support programs that are streamlined, easy to understand, and embraced by our employees. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation, the Sr Director of Total Rewards & HR Operations will champion our most critical functional and companywide business objectives.




WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE 

 

  • As a member of the HR Leadership Team, set global priorities and strategies that are effective in attracting, motivating, and retaining key talent.
  • Collaborate with global HR team members and organizational leaders to promote a culture that engages and inspires employees in alignment with company values.
  • Maintain a focus on employee experience, offering the highest standard in customer service, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and budget.
  • Leverage AI and other technologies to enhance employee and manager access to information and tools, while maintaining a very human and employee-centered experience.
  • Connect the dots across programs, creating a comprehensive approach to HR operations and total rewards for a consistent narrative that is easily understood and administered.
  • Lead a team spanning compensation, benefits, HRIS, & HR operations. 
  • Build and create a global Total Rewards strategy and roadmap that scales with the growth of the business.
  • Champion and manage global compensation programs, including geography-based salary programs, company bonus plans, executive compensation, equity programs, compensation compliance, and administration.
  • Partner in the preparation of Board materials for the Compensation Committee and Board Meetings.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and deliver short-and long-term strategic benefit recommendations; ensure global benefit programs are cost-effective, competitive, and flexible to meet the needs of a diverse workforce while in compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Monitor performance of third-party benefit vendors; ensure compliant administration of global benefits & leaves, and ensure the highest levels of customer service to employees.
  • Partner with HR leadership and operations staff to evaluate, recommend, and drive continuous improvement and efficiency efforts for scalable HRIS solutions.
  • Define and drive data analytics initiatives that allow for data-based decision-making.
  • Provide strategic guidance to our global HR operations team, develop improvement initiatives that align with quarterly goals, and focus on operational excellence that helps to define the employee experience.
  • Lead global Immigration strategy and manage day-to-day requirements.
  • Make culturally aligned decisions, knowing that there often is not a one size fits all solution. 
  • Anticipate and solve issues before they become problems.
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders within HR and across the company, partnering closely with Finance, Payroll, Legal, and C-Suite.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE 

 

  • 10+ years of global HR leadership experience, with specific experience in operations, benefits, compensation, and HRIS
  • Continual awareness of industry best practices, emerging trends, and ability to gather benchmarking data
  • Demonstrated project management skills and a track record of success in bringing complex, cross-functional projects to successful completion
  • Proficiency with HR management software and people analytics
  • Excellent people management skills with an active approach to employee development and engagement
  • Proven ability to successfully navigate change, lead transformation and remain agile in support of changing business needs and conditions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex ideas in clear and easy-to-understand language
  • Experience in the tech industry and/or private equity-backed organizations is strongly preferred
