About the Role

Second Nature is seeking an energetic Event Planner to lead both our monthly marketing field events and our twice-yearly company-wide trips. This role is a 50/50 split between external-facing brand events and internal team experiences. It reports to our Sr. Events Marketing Manager and works closely with our C-Suite, People, and Creative teams.

You’ll spend half your time building brand awareness and generating demand through monthly events for property management professionals. The other half will focus on strengthening company culture by organizing two large-scale internal events each year. From developing marketing strategies that boost attendance to managing every detail of logistics, you’ll play a key role in delivering the standout experiences Second Nature is known for.


Role Objectives:

Event Marketing (50%)

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of in-person sponsored and owned events
  • Manage event timelines, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site setup/tear-down
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events and maximize attendance
  • Collaborate with various departments & teams to align event goals with overall business goals
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Track and analyze event marketing performance, using data to refine future strategies
  • Own event budgets and expenses; assist with post-event reconciliation
 

All Company Events (50%)

  • Plan and execute two full company events per calendar year 
  • Manage venue selection, contracts, budgets, vendor coordination, and logistics
  • Ensure seamless execution of on-site events including but not limited to overseeing registration and managing vendors 
  • Own and manage all event-related details including hotel rooming lists, catering, A/V, offsite events, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve to ensure events run smoothly from start to finish
  • Manage hotel sourcing process and contract negotiation 
  • Own event budgets and expenses; assist with post-event reconciliation

Key Competencies:

  • Event Execution
    • Plan and manage a full-spectrum of event budgets ranging from $6K to $200K+
    • In-person administrative and logistic support for an average of 1.5 events a month
    • Supporting sales teams with event overviews and helpful assets
    • Manage, track, and report on event progress
  • Audience Engagement
    • Assist to develop strategies to engage attendees before, during, and after events to maximize participation and impact
    • Plan and execute interactive activities, entertainment, and networking opportunities to enhance the event experience
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Organization
    • Working with stakeholders across multiple teams such as marketing, people, creative, & C-suite
    • Ability to support multiple events at once 
    • Provide weekly updates on event progress and results to the relevant stakeholders 
  • Impact on Business
    • Build Second Nature’s brand awareness in the rental property industry
    • Support sales teams with qualified leads that will turn into business revenue
    • Create Raving Fans from in-person events as measured by an NPS score of 75+
    • Run all company events that foster an unparalleled workplace
 

About you:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in event marketing, corporate event planning, or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of event marketing strategies, digital promotions, and audience engagement
  • Experience managing event logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in event management software, marketing tools, and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Eventbrite, etc.)
