Position Summary:                                                                                                                                  

The Sr. Recruiter & HR Generalist is part of an innovative team of HR professionals that collaborate across the organization to bring sustainable success to finding, attracting, and hiring top talent. This role primarily focuses on recruiting highly technical candidates and filling a wide range of hard-to-fill positions.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment activities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Recruitment strategy and process
  • Full life cycle recruitment
  • On and Off-boarding  
  • Benefits, compensation, recognition (total rewards) and performance management
  • Applicant and employee experience
  • Training and professional development
  • Employee relations 
  • HRIS, legal compliance, policies, and procedures

  • Attention to detail, data accuracy, systems expertise, and delivers high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to complete projects and daily tasks with accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Strong engagement and interpersonal skills. 
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and consistent follow-through. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of full cycle recruiting experience focused on technical, IT, engineering, and professional "knowledge worker" roles, with a strong track record of successfully filling complex technical roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist work including on-boarding, benefits, HRIS and processes.
  • Adaptability to varied Hiring Manager styles to drive results.
  • Proven savviness to screen candidates, interview, and recommend best fit for each role.
  • Proficient in ADP (or similar ATS), particularly in the recruitment module. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with LinkedIn and other sourcing tools.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and teamwork. 
  • Skilled in reporting on HR recruitment metrics and compliance data.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while working independently, especially with distributed teams.
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, responsiveness, and commitment to deadlines. 
  • Leadership and coaching abilities, empathic listening, and a drive to learn.

Preferred Skills:

  • HR-related master’s degree and/or professional HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is highly desirable.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience.
  • Familiarity with DocuSign and Box.
  • Project Management skills and/or certification.
  • Experience working with higher education community, not for profit, or member-driven environment.
  • Advanced sourcing for niche and hard to fill positions.

As a full-time employee, you will be eligible to participate in Internet2’s employee benefits program effective on your start date in accordance with the terms and conditions of each plan. Salary Range / Pay Grade:

$78,000 - $117,000 / B-6

Starting pay is typically from the minimum up to the midpoint of the grade range and varies based on experience.
