About this role

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior UI Manager to lead and grow the engineering team responsible for the user interface and full-stack features of our data security platform. This is a player-coach role ideal for a senior engineer with leadership experience who still loves to build. You’ll drive the development of secure, performant, and intuitive interfaces that help our customers discover, classify, and protect sensitive data across their environments. You’ll be directly involved in shaping how security professionals interact with massive data sets, risk models, access controls, and compliance workflows — all delivered via our SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities

•   Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack and UI engineers building customer-facing features for data security and compliance workflows
•   Contribute directly to architecture, development, and delivery of secure, high-performance web applications and backend services
•   Collaborate with Product, Security, and Design teams to build intuitive interfaces for managing data classification, access control, audit logs, and reporting
•   Define and evolve frontend engineering strategy, best practices, and technical direction aligned with secure development standards
•   Maintain a strong presence in the codebase through code reviews, architecture reviews, and occasional hands-on implementation
•   Ensure robust coverage for UI and API layers through automated testing and secure deployment pipelines
•   Hire and onboard top engineering talent while fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration

Requirements:

•   12+ years of software development experience, including deep experience in front-end and backend engineering
•   4+ years in a leadership role with direct people management and team-building responsibilities
•   Proven track record of delivering SaaS products in the data security, compliance, or privacy space
•   Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React) and TypeScript
•   Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, or similar languages and designing RESTful/GraphQL APIs
•   Familiarity with secure development practices: data encryption, access controls, audit logging, least privilege access, etc.
•   Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar
•   Experience working with structured/unstructured data, data visualization, and dashboarding tools
•   Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

Nice To Have:

•   Background in building internal platforms or UI component libraries
•   Experience with identity and access management (IAM), data loss prevention (DLP), or governance workflows
•   Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC), policy-as-code, or zero trust architectures
