Job description

About The Position

The Workday Administrator is responsible for configuring and maintaining business processes and integrations for the HCM platform. This position plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying intelligent Workday HCM solutions to streamline workflows, integrate systems, and enhance data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Workday, a strong background in HR processes, and a problem-solving mindset to enhance the efficiency of Workday. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth data integration and flow between Workday and third-party platforms, vendors, and state agencies; managing security roles; configuring business processes; report-writing; and being a consultative partner in ensuring the platform is designed and performing to meet Geneva’s current and future requirements.

This is a fully remote position from anywhere within the U.S.

Salary Range

$88,000 - $96,000. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted primary point of contact for all Workday-related queries and issues, providing training and support to users across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR/People Operations and Finance to optimize business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Lead and participate in system upgrade projects, enhancements, and implementations
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Conduct regular system audits and ensure data integrity within the Workday platform
  • Stay updated on Workday releases and best practices, making recommendations for system improvements
  • Serve as data steward for employee data housed in Workday and contribute to overarching organizational data management efforts to include data audits and validations along with mass data uploads
  • Develop and disseminate training focused on system adoption and adherence
  • Support departmental and organizational process improvement efforts, including identifying opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes
  • Monitor and support inbound and outbound integrations to third party vendors and internal systems and ensure integrations function as designed based on functional and technical requirements
  • Adhere to data governance policies and best practices to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality
  • Support the configuration and maintenance of the security setting within Workday to include domain security policies, roles, and role assignments
  • Perform audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy
  • Comprehend and follow defined technical standards, security, and data privacy standards, and best practices
  • Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure the reliability of report outputs.
  • Design, Build, Test, and Deploy Workday Integration solutions using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, and web services, and core connectors
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating a proactive approach to learning, adapting, and influencing the team’s direction and success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct Workday administration
  • In-depth knowledge of the following Workday functionalities: HCM, Payroll, Talent & Performance, Reporting or Integrations
  • Hands-on experience with integration technologies, including:
  • + Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, WS standards)
  • + Data formats such as XML, XSLT, JSON, and Java
  • Strong understanding of integration security concepts, including ISU, PGP Key encryption, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Skilled in data migration, integration development, calculated fields, and report building within Workday
  • Demonstrated experience developing integrations for both Workday HCM and Financials
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to undergo and ability to pass a background check
