The Role
The FinTech QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial platforms and integrations—including BillingPlatform, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and Power BI. This role involves both manual and automated testing (Selenium), collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with financial regulations, and advocating for quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
What You Will Do
Plan & Strategize
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements for D365 (and other ERPs) and Salesforce features.
Develop test plans covering functional, regression, and integration.
Automation & Execution
Build and maintain Selenium-based test suites, focusing on critical financial workflows and user-facing interfaces.
Provide continuous feedback on code changes.
Manual & Exploratory Testing
Conduct manual testing for new or complex features, focusing on edge cases and usability.
Perform exploratory testing to identify hidden defects or process inefficiencies.
API & Integration Validation
Use tools like Postman to test RESTful APIs that connect external services.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple integrated systems.
Reporting QA
Validate data workflows and dashboards in reporting tools (such as Power BI) against source systems.
Ensure timely updates and correct visualization of financial metrics.
Defect Tracking & Analysis
Log and manage defects in Jira, prioritizing issues based on risk and impact.
Work closely with developers to resolve bugs efficiently, performing thorough root cause analyses.
Reporting & Metrics
Provide QA coverage reports, defect analytics, and status updates via Jira dashboards or weekly summaries.
Contribute to ongoing improvements by analyzing test metrics to reduce escaped defects.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current with QA tools, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.
Participate in retrospectives, offering process improvements and mentoring junior QA members.
What You Will Bring
Financial Domain Knowledge
Familiarity with FinTech regulations, billing models (recurring, usage-based), and compliance requirements.
Automation Expertise
Strong proficiency in Selenium (or similar WebDriver tools) for automated UI testing.
Integration & API Testing
Experience validating data flows between multiple systems (BillingPlatform, Salesforce, payment gateways, BI tools).
Technical Aptitude
Comfort with scripting or coding (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript).
Basic understanding of development pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps principles.
Analytical Mindset
Ability to diagnose complex issues, interpret logs, and analyze metrics to pinpoint performance bottlenecks or failures.
Collaboration & Communication
Solid written and verbal communication for clearly reporting test outcomes and collaborating with teams via Jira and other channels in English.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
5-7+ years of experience in QA roles, ideally within a FinTech or financial services environment.
Demonstrated experience with Selenium-based automation and testing integrations for internal systems.
Hands-on experience with Jira for defect tracking and test management.
Exposure to data analytics and reporting (Power BI preferred).
Understanding of agile methodologies and sprint-based development cycles.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Automation Testing: Ability to build and maintain robust Selenium test suites, following best practices (e.g., Page Object Model).
API Testing: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Postman, or equivalent tools.
Regulatory Comprehension: Awareness of PCI-DSS, AML, or similar standards impacting financial platforms.
Technical Communication: Clear, concise reporting of testing outcomes and defect details.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skill in working with product managers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Skilled at investigating and resolving complex quality challenges in a fast-moving environment.
