Position Summary

The Clinical Program Manager (CPM) is responsible for clinical research and strategy activities primarily related to Labcorp Genetics external and internal research collaborations. In addition, they contribute to developing scientific and business strategies in collaboration with other groups at Labcorp. CPMs bring a strong combination of expert skills to the role, including but not limited to, clinical and research experience, high level written and oral communication, and program management.    

Essential Duties:

  • Managing strategic research collaborations and publications to ensure that we and other teams are aligned on activities and goals.

  • Contributing to the strategic planning to define research initiatives and publications for the various areas that we provide services in.

  • Participating in the evaluation and prioritization of research studies in the context of products and services, clients’ needs, and knowledge gaps in the field of medical genetics.  

  • Contributing directly to research studies, including providing input on the study design, data collection and analysis, instruments, and dissemination plan. 

  • Leading the manuscript development process, including overseeing the publication working group and providing input on concept, outline, drafting, data analysis, and content.

  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects with assigned resources and support.

  • Participating in the dissemination of research by presenting data to clients and at conferences and other venues.

  • In coordination with leadership, representing Labcorp Genetics with external groups, including clients, professional societies, advocacy and outreach groups, and other groups.

  • Providing input when requested on commercial priorities related to content prioritization, product, sales strategies, marketing, partnerships, and advocacy.

Candidates given consideration will have the following:

  • 3–5 years in clinical research, program management, or genomics-related roles.  

  • Strong understanding of research study design, strategic planning, and stakeholder management; ability to oversee research projects independently.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple groups.

  • Ability to be nimble and strategic in response to shifts in research priorities and needs. 

Education

  • Minimum of a Master’s in genetics, genomics, public health, epidemiology, or related field required.  PhD preferred.

Pay Range:   $110,000 - $150,000 annual salary (USD).

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
