Overview:
The Podcast Audio and Video Editor plays a key creative role in transforming long-form B2B podcast recordings into compelling, platform-optimized audio and video content. This individual excels at distilling complex subject matter into visually and audibly engaging formats tailored for YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other major channels. They are equally strategic and hands-on, blending sound design, motion graphics, and visual storytelling to enhance thought leadership and brand reach in digital B2B ecosystems. The ideal candidate brings a strong editorial voice, meticulous attention to detail, and a curiosity-driven mindset with a passion for continuous learning and content innovation. They are expected to manage multiple editing workflows, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and leverage analytics to iterate and improve on performance across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit long-form B2B podcast episodes into polished, publish-ready video and audio formats, ensuring professional-grade sound and visual quality
Create short-form, platform-specific video content optimized for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Apply advanced editing techniques including color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics, captions, and transitions to maximize audience engagement
Collaborate with producers, hosts, and marketing teams to shape narrative arcs and pull out high-impact moments from raw content
Maintain a consistent post-production workflow using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, or Adobe Audition
Optimize content based on SEO best practices and audience engagement metrics to drive discoverability and long watch times
Stay current with evolving social media trends and apply platform-specific strategies to increase views, retention, and brand visibility
Translate technical or nuanced B2B topics into clear, engaging visual content that resonates with business professionals
Manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and professionalism in a fast-paced, remote team environment
Regularly interpret content performance data and adjust strategies based on what resonates with audiences across platforms
Qualifications:
Proven track record of creating high-performing short-form video content from podcast or long-form sources, with measurable traffic and retention results
Deep understanding of editing techniques, content pacing, and digital storytelling for B2B audiences
Expertise in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, After Effects, and/or DaVinci Resolve
Knowledge of SEO, thumbnails, metadata, and formatting for discoverability on YouTube and social media platforms
Strong audio editing, sound design, and mixing experience to ensure professional-level sound quality
In-depth knowledge of platform-specific trends, formats, and optimization strategies (especially LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with producers, marketers, and SMEs
Highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of balancing creativity with technical execution
Bachelor's degree in Audio/Video Production, Digital Media, or equivalent professional experience
A fast learner with a demonstrated history of adopting new tools and technologies to improve workflow or content quality
Must be available to work during U.S. business hours and manage deadlines aligned with EST
