Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Outpatient Setting in California
Location: Elk Grove, California
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation:  $80,000 to $90,000 + Benefits
Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic outpatient mental health clinic in California. If you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity to help individuals and families overcome life’s challenges in a supportive, client-centered environment, this role is for you!

As an LCSW in our outpatient clinic, you will work with a diverse group of clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. You will provide individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy in both short-term and long-term formats. Additionally, you will play a key role in treatment planning, case management, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on client goals, needs, and diagnoses, and adjust plans as necessary to ensure progress.
  • Offer case management services, including referrals to community resources, advocacy, and coordination of care with other healthcare providers.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when clients face acute mental health challenges, including during in-person and telehealth sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in compliance with ethical, legal, and insurance requirements.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive holistic, well-rounded care that addresses their full spectrum of needs.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and continuing education to keep your skills sharp and stay updated on the latest therapeutic practices

Requirements

We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled LCSW who:

    • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
    • At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting (preferred). Experience with a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics is highly valued.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in individual, couples, and family therapy
    • Is comfortable using evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy)
    • Is knowledgeable about case management and community resource coordination
    • Has a culturally competent approach to therapy and enjoys working with diverse populations
    • Is familiar with telehealth platforms for virtual sessions
    • Is a team player, open to collaboration with other clinicians and provider
