Senior Graphic Designer (OR-00483)

Horizon Tech is looking for a Senior Sign Designer with a strong sign design and illustration background using computer-aided software for its US-based client. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative professional who can balance brand consistency with innovation, manage multiple complex design requests, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality signage solutions. You will play a key role in mentoring other designers, ensuring design standards, and supporting production-ready graphics and presentations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design and illustrate signage concepts using Coreldraw, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
• Research and adopt new sign/design technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and revise drawings based on design briefs and feedback.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales staff to ensure accurate, feasible, and brand-consistent designs.
• Develop design standards, templates, and ensure consistency across all projects.
• Mentor junior designers and assist with onboarding and training.
• Provide high-level support and leadership to the design team.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and escalate issues when needed.
• Participate in design team meetings and cross-department coordination.
• Provide quality assurance through self-review and error-free output.
• Prioritize and manage multiple design requests with varying timelines.
• Support initiatives that enhance performance, morale, and departmental effectiveness.

Job Specifications:

• Partner with internal teams to understand client needs and production feasibility.
• Offer design suggestions and improvements based on manufacturing constraints.
• Manage complex signage projects, including detailed interior and exterior wayfinding systems.
• Lead design initiatives for clients with or without existing brand standards.
• Support departmental leadership with additional responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Advanced skills in Coreldraw, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Ability to produce detailed construction-ready signage drawings.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, creative, and highly organized.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Demonstrated ability to train, guide, and mentor other designers.

Education & Experience:

• Associates or Technical Degree in Art, Design, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the sign industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in a senior or leadership design role.

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
• Handle multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Basic math and measurement conversion proficiency.

• Job Timings: The Night shift follows the US-EST Time Zone.
• Office Location: Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi
• Remote Working: In the case of the remote, a separate workspace and the required gadgets (Laptop-Core i5, 6th generation minimum, noise-cancelling headphones, webcam, power backup) will be arranged by the candidate.
