This is a remote position.

Role Name: Bookkeeper/Accountant

Schedule:

  • Part-time (20 hours per week), Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm AEST

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage financial operations across our multi-faceted performing arts business. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with both educational programming and talent management revenue streams, requiring a strategic approach to financial management. The ideal candidate will combine traditional accounting expertise with the ability to understand and optimize the financial aspects of creative business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting operations across multiple business units
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions for both education and talent management divisions
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving business profitability
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis for business leadership
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently
  • Contribute to business operation improvements through financial insights
  • Support budgeting and financial planning initiatives
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working with Australian-based businesses
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software systems
  • Excellence in organizational and detail management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
