Job description

Systems Analyst
 

Location: Reston, VA (Remote - Work From Home)

ICF is seeking a systems analyst to support its data engineering team in support of a large energy efficiency portfolio.  You will work with the delivery management teams on the dataflow design requirements for dataflows between systems, coordinate and prioritize tasks across dozens of clients.  You will work with the data engineering team to help look for synergies across the clients to make for repeatable enterprise solutions.  You will also work with leadership to help set and enforce deadlines for all data engineering requests.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead meetings with stakeholders, validate functional requirements, and translate functional requirements into technical requirements and test cases.
  • Work in Jira to create, assign, monitor, and follow up on tasks.
  • Coordinate with leadership on establishing project priorities and assigning development work
  • Develop and manage documentation artifacts
  • Develop an understanding of the operational processes and procedures and implement process improvements
  • Ensure alignment with roadmap priorities
  • Promote an understanding of existing approaches/capabilities, recognizing where needs align with existing processes/approaches, and promoting reuse and/or flexible approaches that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
     

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in quantitative subject (math, engineering, science, computer science etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, project management or related field
  • Fundamental knowledge of SQL
  • 2+ years of experience generating requirements and documentation for ETL/ELT/similar data flows or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in developing system documentation to track issues and to work with developers to ensure that requirements are being met

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira highly desirable
  • Experience with custom product development highly desirable
  • Have familiarity and experience in test script preparation and or quality assurance activities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making, and critical thinking capabilities
  • Extremely well-organized with a high appreciation for details

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$81,094.00 - $137,860.00
