Senior Program Manager, Commercialization Program Management Office
What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be a strategic partner to leaders of the Commercialization Portfolio Management Office to enable the success and implementation of the strategic vision across various programs and initiatives.

The Commercialization Senior Program Manager (SPM) will drive the development, creation, and implementation of high quality, global, coordinated cross-functional project plans for initiatives across the portfolio including above product team efforts to expand patient impact with life cycle management (LCM) activities. In addition, the SPM may be asked to lead and/or participate in special department, cross-functional, or team projects.

Collaborates closely with Strategy Directors and cross-functional partners, you will contribute to driving high-value cross functional processes that inform product strategy, facilitating senior-level cross functional discussions, aligning project plans, and driving to output to facilitate investment decisions. This role is ideal for a strong Senior Program Manager looking to enhance their strategic thinking and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities:
  • Partners with functional SME to develop high quality, integrated, cross-functional plans that are aligned with the overall project or initiative strategy
  • Ensures cross-functional alignment and accountability
  • Drives the development and timely completion of project deliverables, including materials for governance decisions
  • Documents issues, decisions and action items of working teams and meetings
  • Conducts the risk management and scenario planning and develops contingency and/or risk mitigation plans
  • Drives connectivity across internal business partners such as therapeutic area governance, research governance, business development, and product teams to align on actionable path forward
  • Coordinates activities with external business partners and alliances, where applicable; contributes to a successful partnership outcome

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of program or project management experience

Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of program or project management experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of program or project management experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of program or project management experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of program or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Drug development experience including deep experience in one or more core drug development and commercialization functions and experience leading teams through governance process; ideally working across all parts of the drug development process
  • Program and project management skills with experience in a healthcare-related environment, operationalizing strategic initiatives, including cross-functional strategic planning, development of integrated plans, monitoring and driving execution to plan.
  • Experience working across multiple projects, initiatives, or clients simultaneously
  • Comfort and experience connecting scientific and business concepts to understand core value drivers
  • Emotional intelligence skills including influencing without authority and navigating within a matrix environment.
  • Ability to effectively “manage up” by communicating clear priorities, status updates, and ongoing workstream escalations
  • Experience using Project Management tools, methodologies, practices and infrastructure, as related to the Biopharmaceutical Industry
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
