Job description

Lucidya is seeking a highly organized and technically savvy Technical Information Architect to join our engineering organization. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the structure and usability of our internal technical documentation. Your mission will be to bridge the gap between development, product, DevOps, and system administration documentation by creating a cohesive and intuitive documentation ecosystem.

You will collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to gather, refine, and structure documentation in a way that enhances discoverability and improves developer experience. This role is critical to ensuring that Lucidya’s engineers spend less time hunting for information and more time building high-impact features.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an end-to-end information architecture for all technical documentation including developer notes, system administration manuals, DevOps processes, and product specs.
  • Aggregate, organize, and label content from various teams into a unified and intuitive structure within Confluence, Jira, and related tools.
  • Establish documentation standards and best practices, including templates, versioning protocols, and update workflows.
  • Create visually clear and accurate diagrams, flowcharts, and system design figures to supplement documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure documentation is up-to-date, technically accurate, and aligned with evolving systems and processes.
  • Link related documentation across domains (e.g., connecting API docs with product flows, linking DevOps deployment guides with system architecture).
  • Conduct content audits and user research to assess the usability and gaps in the current documentation.
  • Advocate for knowledge-sharing and empower teams with self-service documentation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Architecture, Technical Communication, UX Design, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in information architecture, technical documentation, UX writing, or content strategy for technical audiences.
  • Strong working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Ability to create clear, insightful technical diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart, Draw.io, or similar.
  • Understanding of web development concepts, REST APIs, system architecture, and DevOps practices is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage complex information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate technical knowledge into structured, user-friendly content.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have
  • Background in software engineering or DevOps, with hands-on experience in documenting systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with design systems, product life cycles, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with internal developer platforms or developer portals.
