Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Position Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for driving new business development activity through structured outreach campaigns, targeted project work, and managing early-stage client and candidate engagement. The SDR will use a combination of telephony, email marketing, LinkedIn outreach, and CRM tracking to build and grow our client and candidate pipeline. The below is organic and new campaigns will develop in time.
Primary Responsibilities
Outbound Business Development Activity
Execute structured phone and email outreach to prospective clients and candidates.
Develop and manage cyclical outbound campaigns via phone, LinkedIn InMail, and email.
Maintain detailed records of outreach, conversations, and follow-ups in the CRM (Crelate).
Use Zoom telephony to achieve high outbound call volumes to defined target audiences.
Set up and maintain alerts to monitor target audiences (e.g., job changes, funding news).
2. CRM Management and Reporting
Consistently maintain, clean, and organize Crelate CRM data.
Track outreach progress, call outcomes, and engagement rates.
Monitor click-through rates (CTR) and response rates to refine targeting strategies.
Specific Business Development Projects
Podcast Guest Outreach (Sales Development Focus)
Conduct outbound outreach to secure guests for the ‘Into the Corner Office’ podcast.
Qualify prospective guests based on brand fit and audience alignment.
Manage scheduling of planning and recording sessions.
Maintain detailed tracking of outreach and bookings.
Referral Partner Program (Sales Development Focus)
Identify and target consultants, advisors, and business developers for ROI’s Referral Partner Program.
Execute multi-step email, text, and call outreach sequences.
Schedule introduction calls for interested partners with the Business Development Managing Partner.
Open Ad Campaigns (Sales Development Focus)
Identify newly advertised executive leadership roles relevant to our market specialties.
Execute multichannel outreach campaigns to Hiring Managers and HR teams.
Maintain rigorous tracking across all outreach stages, following a 75-day cadence.
Funded Company Outreach (Private Equity & Venture Capital)
Research and target companies recently receiving PE or VC investment aligned with our niche.
Initiate tailored outreach to executive leadership teams highlighting ROI’s hiring partnership value.
Keep CRM updated with new targets and funding event details.
ZoomInfo Intent Data Outreach
Prioritize companies signaling buying intent for executive search services.
Integrate intent-driven leads into outbound call and email cadences.
Tailor messaging to reflect research interests and executive hiring needs.
Experience and Skills Preferred
High energy, goal-driven attitude, and ability to manage multiple outreach projects.
Strong phone communication skills; willingness to make high-volume cold calls.
Highly organized with effective time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Strategic thinker with a self-starting attitude.
College degree preferred but not required.
Performance Bonus Structure
$25 for every appointment scheduled and completed.
$250 for every new engaged search assignment resulting from your scheduled meeting.
$500 for every placement resulting from your scheduled introduction.
Note: SDRs are not part of the commission structure but qualify for performance bonuses as outlined.
