Distribution Devp Mgr 

 

The role of the Distribution Development Manager is to identify, recruit and develop Seed Professionals (SeedPros) that align with Channel’s future vision of agriculture.  This role will also develop relationships and provide support for key current SeedPros.  To position the Channel brand to execute on the pillars of Leading-Edge Solutions, Connected to You, and Next-Level Experience, this role will coordinate regional-based SeedPro events and support plans to train and invest in a team of elite SeedPros.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

  • A drive to help deliver the best experience possible to Channel growers by hiring and developing elite seed professionals (Channel SeedPros);
  • Work in collaboration with sales teams and the distribution team to create and execute the Channel distribution plan for a defined area;
  • Gather business intelligence to align and develop area plans;
  • Identification, recruitment and prioritization of where Channel needs increased distribution;
  • Evaluation and qualification of the current SeedPro network;
  • Work with local teams on all phases of the recruitment process;
  • Qualify new SeedPros through an interview process;
  • Support SeedPro compensation programs within the assigned area;
  • Strengthen business relationships between Channel and SeedPros through identifying and prioritizing development needs and investment opportunities captured within SeedPro business plans;
  • Lead the regional SeedPro councils and lead regional brand experience SeedPro events;
  • Develop and support a cohesive on-boarding process to integrate new SeedPros into the Channel organization;
  • Work in coordination with the Channel Distribution Strategy team and overall brand to implement continual development to elevate the strength of the Channel Distribution network;
  • Member of Unit Support Squad to help drive the Channel distribution strategy across the business units they support.

WHO YOU ARE

Required:

•Minimum of a bachelor's degree;

•Demonstrated sales management by leading or influencing sales teams;

•Demonstrated ability to empower, develop, and coach a team of individuals in a sales environment;

•High degree of problem resolution;

•Strong conflict management skills;

•Ability to source, screen and select qualified and motivated sales professionals;

•Experience partnering cross functionally to create business plans and implement strategies;

•Ability to create a diverse and inclusive environment;

•Demonstrated skills and knowledge in selling the value of products;

•Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the business;

•High integrity and accountability;

•Ability to influence and lead without authority.

 

Preferred:

•Recruiting, training, and outreach experience;

•Account management experience;

•Event planning and coordination.

 

 

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $136,482.33 to $204,723.49. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
