The Opportunity

 We support a broad range of member and community mental health programs, spanning digital cognitive behaviour therapy, brief counselling services, virtual psychology, mental health triage and education, risk assessments, referral to local mental health providers, and crisis intervention for people experiencing extreme emotional distress.

 

The Clinical Operations Manager – Mental Health will be required to lead a team of up to 7 Clinical Leads, supporting the Clinical Leads and their teams’ consistent achievement of performance and productivity objectives through supportive partnership, capability and career development, leadership coaching and proactive intervention. The Clinical Operations Manager will ensure the virtual health workforce across Triage Services, After Hours GP and Mental Health is utilised for maximum benefit to the population, clients, and organisation.

You’ll ensure optimal clinical governance, high productivity and effective employee engagement is integrated with a strong financial and performance framework that supports contractual obligations and achieves business goals.

 

As a Clinical Operations Manager at Amplar Health, you'll play a key role in bringing together commercial, clinical, contractual, and people-focused priorities in a thoughtful and sustainable way. With a strong focus on enterprise thinking and a human-centred approach, you’ll use data, dashboards, and reports not just to guide decisions—but to uncover meaningful opportunities that lead to better outcomes for your team, our clients, and the communities we serve.

Your leadership will help ensure we meet our contractual commitments while delivering high-quality care across all service hours. You'll also be instrumental in driving efficiency and quality within our Virtual Health team, using both measurable results and lived experiences to support continuous improvement in how we care for others.

 

This is a permanent role, working Monday to Friday, primarily business hours however we do offer some flexibility of hours. There is a requirement for on call weekend work occasionally.

 

This is a work from home role and could be based anywhere in Australia.

 

About You

To be successful in your application for this role you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years full time clinical experience in management and leadership experience in health or professional services organisations.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a clinical leadership role and have experience in coaching and mentoring ideally in a virtual environment
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Extensive clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills. You are self-driven and can work autonomously from home.
  • Ability to think strategically and operationalise strategic plans
  • Computer literacy, a proficiency with contact centre KPI dimensions and associated data, with a working competency of the Microsoft office product suite

  • Suitable internet connection
