Title: Early Out Self Pay Representative
Location: USA/Remote
Reports to: Collections Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Full-Time or Part-Time: Full-Time
Salary Range: $18 per hour
Starting pay varies based on location and experience, in compliance with specific state wage regulations. Competitive rates tailored to your geography and expertise.

Position Overview:
The Early Out Self Pay Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service while resolving patient self-pay balances. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a compassionate, solutions-oriented approach to collections. The Representative will work within Coronis Health’s standard operating procedures and collaborate with internal teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outstanding customer service while handling inbound and outbound calls with patients.
• Accurately document and update account statuses in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
• Identify and resolve errors across the revenue cycle, including issues related to registration, coding, charge entry, documentation, billing, or payer rejections.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address and correct account discrepancies.
• Meet and exceed monthly self-pay collection goals, using effective negotiation and persuasion strategies.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in handling complex patient inquiries.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to make sound decisions and follow standard operational procedures.
• Knowledge of insurance terminology such as EOBs, deductibles, and ICD-10 codes preferred.
• Proficient in customer service and collections within a healthcare environment.
• EPIC or other electronic medical billing systems experience preferred.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare customer service or medical collections experience required.
