Title: Operations Manager
Location: Remote in SA
UK Working Hours: 9am–5pm, with flexibility

Job Description:
The Operations Manager plays a central role in ensuring operational efficiency and compliance across the business. You will work closely with the Global Head of Operations to support smooth internal workflows, maintain adherence to client agreements and industry standards, and lead internal improvement projects. This role is highly varied and hands-on, providing vital support across compliance, supplier management, IT systems, and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities include:
Compliance & Data Protection

  • Ensure ongoing adherence to client Master Service Agreements (MSAs), internal policies, GDPR, and pharmacovigilance (PV) standards

  • Act as a subject matter expert on compliance queries, briefing teams on client-specific requirements

  • Conduct internal audits and support completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)

  • Manage supplier onboarding, reviews, and performance monitoring

  • Maintain clear documentation and proactively simplify compliance for the wider team

Internal Projects & Process Improvement

  • Lead and support operational projects aimed at boosting efficiency and quality

  • Vet, onboard, and manage suppliers with due diligence and compliance processes

  • Build and implement workflow tools (e.g., apps, automations, AI integrations)

  • Identify process gaps and collaborate across teams to deliver improvements

Team Support & Operational Administration

  • Provide day-to-day operational support and problem-solving for team members

  • Oversee and encourage consistent timesheet completion and accuracy

  • Manage onboarding resources and training documentation

  • Track and support the completion of mandatory training

IT & Systems Support

  • Maintain a live asset register for company devices and oversee their distribution/replacement

  • Liaise with external IT providers on behalf of the team for issue resolution

  • Support user access and system oversight to ensure security and functionality



Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in operations, compliance, or project coordination—ideally within a healthcare, research, or insights environment

  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, PV requirements, and service-level agreements

  • Proven ability to conduct audits and implement operational improvements

  • Comfortable working with new technologies and digital tools

  • Confident managing vendors, suppliers, and IT support

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently and adapt to changing business needs

  • AI-curious, with a proactive mindset toward automation and efficiency
