Position Summary
The Manager, Global Data Management is a global lead for a team of supervisors and individual contributors, as appropriate, for SEND data associates, data engineers, or account associates (any combination of these roles) in the global data management solutions (GDMS) team. The global manager has a critical role for driving global harmonization and improvements for the GDMS team and groups throughout Early Development that the GDMS team may work with.

Knowledgeable of SEND with abilities on improving efficiency, facilitating data sharing, and enhancing the use of nonclinical data across the industry.
Skilled communicator in delivering presentations and leading meetings.
Skilled in strategy, planning and budgeting.
Education
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science required. Masters preferred.
Essential Duties:
Client Interaction and Commercial Support
Conduct regular, direct interactions with clients through various forums such as standing and ad hoc meetings, written communications, site visits, and/or industry conferences. In addition, they will have active involvement in commercial activities such as marketing initiatives, pricing discussions, business review meetings, and launching new service offerings for GDMS.
Achieving Financial Targets and Workload Management
Responsible for appropriate growth of the team as regulatory requirements are updated and expanded, coupled with continual focus on promoting efficient, low‑risk approaches to handling high volumes of data (i.e., limiting manual intervention).
Provides oversight to ensure workload balance globally
Prepares and approves cost metrics for the group
Oversees personnel assignments to ensure deadlines and financial budgets are met
Develops and tracks success metrics for the team
Formulates, develops, and implements plans, policies, and procedures within department guidelines to improve work quality, efficiency, productivity, and expense control of the group
Promotes continual improvement of processes and products
Ensures global approaches to work to promote product consistency
Assesses and implements new technology, automation, and/or processes to reduce errors and/or improve productivity
Collaborates with internal and external colleagues and customers to develop data management solutions
Strategic Planning and Execution
Establishes strategic working partnerships, especially with the data and technology group and IT to ensure technology automation goals and processes are implemented effectively.
Participates in leadership information and planning sessions
Considers global cultures to contribute input, collaborate with colleagues, and assist with rolling out plans
Identifies appropriate projects and participants to support and attain goals
Staff Development/Performance Management
Mentors both direct and indirect reports on daily duties, career development, and skills building
Conducts full range of performance evaluation activities.
Sets/approves employee objectives based on strategic goals
Evaluates staff performance and monitors/balances salary administration
Completes succession planning to build an internal talent pipeline.
Staffing/Recruitment
Performs full range of recruitment activities
Monitors workload and capacity levels and develops staffing plans
Executes Affirmative Action goals in the department
Training and Learning Management
Performs full range of training and learning management activities
Upholds training principles of a regulated environment, ensuring required training for staff members is completed and documented
Develops and approves training plans
Ensures new staff members are adequately trained in a reasonable timeframe
Develops and delivers appropriate overview training sessions for other members of the department, informing them of the roles and responsibilities of the global data management solutions team

Pay Range: $120k-$150k annual salary (USD)
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
