Job Description
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for creating amazing experiences for our buyers. This role will leadin the evolution of Ritchie Bros towards becoming the default place for customers to purchase commercial equipment and services. Working in tangent with product, engineering, design, and research teams this role will build and shape experiences that touch millions of RB customers. The Senior Product Manager will conduct research and utilize industry-leading practices and innovation to drive a part of this experience. This role will create user experiences that drive growth and makes the customers feel connected, and drive company goals.
Responsibilities
Responsible for an area of the buyer experience, end-to-end, including writing the story, driving cross-functional execution, making thoughtful product decisions along the way, and sharing insights and results throughout the company
Evaluates market and consumer user experience research and results based on discovered industry trends and competitor landscapes, through conversations with the customer, data analysis and metrics
Identifies the highest impact work, prioritizes, and delivers improvements in a measurable way
Partners with other product teams, engineering, design, and various other stakeholders as necessary to create a high-achieving team
Drives crucial product initiatives
Articulates complex problems with exceptional clarity and contributes to team strategy
Takes ownership of the problem through to the solution within and across teams, peers, partners and leadership
Actively ensures their product team is aligned and engaged
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5 plus years’ experience leading business-critical product initiatives
Demonstrated obsession with building great user experiences and an eye for detail
Ability to think big and small, to take a large vision and build incremental features and prototypes to align to that vision. Comfortable working with paper prototypes as you are building scalable features
Communicates, in writing or in person, product decisions, rationale behind them, and are comfortable influencing people to get things done
Experience working with qualitative and quantitative customer data to inform decisions. Should be able to switch between thinking creatively and analytically
