What You’ll Be Responsible For
Circle is looking for a Senior Director of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to lead the strategy, operations, and execution of all sourcing, procurement, and spend management activities across the company. You will be accountable for building a scalable, efficient, and risk-aware procurement function that supports a fast-moving, global technology company.
What You'll Work On
- Leading the end-to-end Sourcing and Procurement function, including cross functional third-party vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including invoice management, payment processing, and close coordination with Finance and Accounting.
- Ensuring controls, workflows, and systems are aligned with audit readiness, SOX requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Owning and optimizing Travel & Expense and Corporate Card programs, with a focus on policy enforcement, user experience, and spend control, including tools, vendor relationships, auditing, and employee communications.
- Developing and implementing a strategic sourcing roadmap, aligning vendor management with business priorities, compliance requirements, and cost-saving goals.
- Partnering with Legal, ERM, Compliance and FP&A to drive a disciplined and efficient third-party onboarding and renewal process.
- Building and leading a high-performing procurement team; establishing clear KPIs and process documentation to support scale.
- Acting as the business owner for our procurement tools and platforms, including Zip, Navan, and Oracle; driving automation and integration across systems to reduce cycle time and increase visibility.
- Leading procurement-related internal control efforts to support SOX compliance and IPO-readiness.
- Reporting regularly on spend trends, savings realized, policy adherence, and procurement metrics to executive leadership.
Core Requirements
- 13+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Finance Operations, Strategic Sourcing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in leadership roles, ideally within high-growth, regulated environments (e.g., fintech, healthtech, enterprise SaaS).
- Proven track record of scaling procurement and AP functions through significant growth, including maturity and/or IPO phases.
- Experience managing corporate card, T&E, and AP programs with a focus on compliance, cost control, and policy development.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance (including SOX), and vendor risk management.
- Exceptional cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills—able to influence, align, and build trust across diverse teams and leadership levels; A proactive, collaborative approach and strong executive communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.
Preferred Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Zip, Navan, and Oracle, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.
- Proven ability to lead process improvement, automation, and system integration initiatives.
- MBA or certifications like CPSM, CPA.
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
Base Pay Range: $197,500 - $250,000
