ELITS is now looking for a Telecom Deployment Coordinator for our operations in Canada.

About this position:

Manage all aspects of telecom equipment deployment, including customer relationship management, project planning, scheduling, cost control, inventory, billing and invoicing, change control, and scope management. Ensure process adherence, compliance, and deliverables in accordance with project and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate equipment deployment with service providers and all disciplines interfacing  with customer network facilities, central office, or cell site properties and access.
  • Direct or complete market-level equipment deployment activities, including but not limited to:
  • Site surveys
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements
  • Coordination of engineering documentation (dimensioning, implementation, integration, and data translation)
  • Management and submission of Method of Procedure (MOP) documents
  • Coordination of installation and integration resources
  • Managing requests and changes to data translation scripts
  • Identifying and managing all work required to complete and acquire Notice to Proceed (NTP)
  • Handover of NTP to services integration teams
  • Troubleshoot network equipment deployment issues encountered by service providers.
  • Ensure implementation schedules and guidelines are followed and enforced.
  • Submit regular daily, weekly, and monthly progress data to the project manager.
  • Attend internal coordination and progress meetings, providing updates as needed.
  • Ensure quality of service provider work meets project standards.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customer representatives and all project disciplines.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure all project disciplines align with project goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records for all equipment deployment activities.
  • Ensure all project milestone data is maintained in project management systems.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with telecom network equipment such as switching platforms, power distribution units, and radio access network (RAN) components.
  • Understanding of core network connectivity (e.g., MSN, BSS, DAX-OC3) and RAN connectivity (e.g., T1 NIU) for transport and implementation.
  • Ability to identify and solve defined problems using existing procedures and methods.
  • Awareness of the necessity for process improvement and change.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of job-related experience, including project builds involving multiple sites.
  • Experience as a switch, field, or integration engineer, or as a telecom project manager working with equipment deployment (core or RAN).
  • Ability to work within a defined framework and schedule under supervision.
  • Reports to a lead or senior implementation manager.
