We seek a seasoned Principal Data Architect to lead major data architecture projects, providing expert technical guidance and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working as a senior technical leader on data platform programs, including building or migrating large data platforms. Additionally, expertise with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), Snowflake, and/or Databricks, as well as DataOps, is essential.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Project Management:
Lead major data architecture projects, ensuring alignment with company culture and values.
Provide technical guidance to the team and clients, including those without a technical background.
Act as a point of contact for top managers, assisting with everyday tasks and strategic growth initiatives.
Mentorship & Team Development:
Mentor team members, promoting continuous learning and inclusive leadership.
Develop successors and foster an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
Strategic Decision-Making:
Make critical decisions regarding data architecture based on project requirements and strategic objectives.
Implement innovative data architecture methodologies with a focus on AI and FLOW.
Agile Methodology:
Guide the team in using agile methods to efficiently complete projects.
System Alignment & Client Satisfaction:
Ensure data systems align with business needs and client satisfaction.
Implement secure solutions that regulate access, manage data lifecycles effectively, and maintain an organized data structure.
Trust & Work Environment:
Build trust and promote an emotionally healthy and safe work environment.
Financial & Operational Excellence:
Balance team competencies, seniority, and succession plans.
Manage financial aspects and ensure operational excellence through continuous improvement and effective risk management.
Requirements for this challenge:
- Proven experience as a senior technical leader on data platform programs, including building or migrating large data platforms.
- Expertise with one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
- Strong understanding of DataOps principles and practices.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in making strategic decisions about data architecture.
- Experience in implementing secure and efficient data lifecycle management solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous learning within a team.
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have:
Experience with AI applied to the data field.
Strong project management skills with experience in agile methodologies.
Proficiency in Spanish
