This is a remote position.
Join alongside an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineering team supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS). Your will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining the virtual implementation of a new Tenable architecture for the DAF. As the ACAS Virtualization Engineer, you will work with the ACAS Solution Architect, Chief Architect, and Chief Engineer to develop the ACAS Solution; reporting to the ACAS Project Manager.
Responsibilities
· Develop, improve, and maintain the Tenable ACAS Solution with a focus in the following technology areas: Azure Cloud, Red Hat Linux, Tenable Software Solutions for ACAS, Scripting (Python, PowerShell, other languages as necessary), Kubernetes Solutions, and other virtualization technologies (as required)
· Aid in the development of the Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in conjunction with the ACAS Engineering Lead for Virtualization Tasks
· Identify technical continuous improvement and project execution efficiencies
· Develop and implement improvements to existing processes and practices
· Conduct investigation to understand root cause of issues and problems
· Develop topology and flow diagrams with team technical staff
· Develop, and brief, solution presentation material to internal, program, Engineering teams
· Develops automation scripts and code efficiencies
· Perform, and maintain, the virtual environment across a hybrid of Azure and on-prem (VMWare) technologies focused on, but not limited to: IaaS, Kubernetes, Serverless Computing, Script development, metrics gathering, and dashboard reporting.
Annual Performance Objectives
· Passed all Department of the Air Force internal Gate Reviews without rejection
· Ability to white-board the solution ad-hoc with the project team without the need to reference existing solution materials
· Implement identified process improvement per quarter
Qualifications (minimum)
· Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance through a National Background Check.
· 7 Years of Experience with ACAS Solutions; Tenable preferred with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience
· 3 Years of Experience deploying, automating, and hardening Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
· 1 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense
· English speaker with experience briefing internal project team members and DAF stakeholders
Education
· BA/BS with 7 years of professional experience, or 11 years of experience without a degree
· One of the following Certifications
o CISSP or equivalent DoD 8140 Certification Compliance as a Tenable Solution Architect.
Travel
· Travel up to 25% of the year
o Quarterly to Chantilly, VA and surrounding area
o Quarterly to Boston, MA and surrounding area
o Quarterly to Semi-Annual ad-hoc trips to DAF Installations for solution briefings
