Job description

This is a remote position.

A leading European fertility provider—operating over 40 clinics in 8 countries—is looking for an experienced and visionary Product Owner to spearhead the development, rollout, and integration of a next-generation Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

This is a pivotal role in the digital transformation of fertility care across Europe. You will shape and execute the EMR product strategy, ensuring its seamless integration with key internal platforms such as CRM, patient portals, and data solutions. Your goal: deliver a unified, patient-centric digital experience that enhances operational efficiency and clinical care.

Key Responsibilities
Lead EMR Product Strategy and Roadmap
  • Define and evolve the product roadmap with a clear focus on clinical value and business impact.

  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and integrations across the digital ecosystem (CRM, data platforms, patient-facing tools).

Act as Agile Product Leader
  • Guide the Agile development team through backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Ensure strong collaboration between business stakeholders and developers for continuous delivery.

Manage Product Backlog and Requirements
  • Translate user and business needs into actionable user stories.

  • Maintain a clear, prioritized, and value-driven backlog.

Coordinate Legacy System Migrations
  • Lead data migration planning and execution from legacy EMR platforms.

  • Ensure minimal disruption to clinical operations and safeguard data integrity.

Collaborate Across Disciplines
  • Work with engineering, clinical, operations, and external partners to define requirements and manage dependencies.

  • Align implementation plans with the strategic goals of the organization.

Accelerate Clinic Rollouts
  • Optimize rollout processes and remove blockers to speed up implementation across multiple countries.

  • Support change management and training initiatives to drive adoption.

Enable Scalable Onboarding
  • Develop onboarding frameworks for clinics, enabling efficient, standardized deployment of digital tools.

Requirements
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of EMR systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare data regulations.
  • Agile Product Ownership: 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments, preferably in health tech.
  • EMR Rollout Experience: Proven track record of leading EMR implementation across multi-site or enterprise healthcare environments.
  • Integration & Technical Fluency: Comfortable working with APIs, system interoperability, and data architecture.
  • Project Leadership: Strong organizational and project management skills; able to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from start to finish.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Adept at managing competing priorities, aligning diverse stakeholders, and maintaining a user-focused approach.
  • Problem Solving Mindset: Strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation in complex systems.

Benefits
  • Freelance/B2B or permanent role available
  • Location: Anywhere in Europe, with availability to travel (estimated maximum of 1 week per month)
  • Type: Full-time

This is your chance to shape the digital foundation of one of Europe’s largest fertility networks. You will be at the forefront of improving patient outcomes through better technology, streamlined care processes, and a unified data strategy. If you are ready to lead impactful healthcare innovation at scale, we want to hear from you.
